   OTTAWA, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Some pigs in Canada have been found to be infected with the A/H1N1 flu, Canadian media reported Saturday citing government sources.

    This has been the first time that the H1N1 flu virus has been found in pigs, the Canadian Press said, adding federal health officials will announce the news later Saturday.

    The pigs are from a farm in the western province of Alberta, they were thought to be infected by a farm worker who had recently been to Mexico and fell ill upon his return, the sources said.

    Genetic testing shows the pigs in Alberta were infected with the same virus responsible for cases in Mexico and other countries around the world.

    Official confirmation of the pigs' infection is expected at a news conference scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Ottawa.

    The H1N1 virus, which is made up of swine flu genes, is believed to have jumped to humans and has been passing person to person.

    Earlier this week, the World Health Organization dropped the term "swine flu" in favor of its scientific name "H1N1 influenza A."

    Meanwhile, Canada's H1N1 flu caseload swelled Saturday as health officials confirmed a host of new cases in several provinces.

    The total now stands at 83. All cases are mild and there have been no deaths.

　　　　The U.S. state of Texas on Tuesday reported the second human A/H1N1 flu death in the state, which is also the second death in the United States.
　　Few details have been released but the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) said in a brief statement that a woman, who died from the disease earlier this week, was a Texas resident living in Cameron County, along the U.S.-Mexico border.
　　The women had chronic underlying health conditions, the statement said.
　　The women is the first H1N1 flu death of a Texas resident and the second death in the U.S. A Mexican toddler who was visiting relatives died from the disease last week in Houston.
　　The number of confirmed H1N1 flu cases in the U.S. is now over 400, with hundreds more probable cases, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
　　New York had 90 confirmed cases, followed by California, with 69 cases, local media said.
　　As of Tuesday, Texas had 61 confirmed cases of H1N1 flu, 60 of them are Texas residents, according to the DSHS statement.

　　The Chinese economy may have already bottomed out, and been on the recovery phase, said Haruhiko Kuroda, President of Asian Development Bank Tuesday.
　　Kuroda made the judgment at the press conference on the last day of the ADB's Annual Meeting, on the basis of his observations "in this meeting as well as from various statistics already released".
